ＮＺ 炭鉱爆発事故 続報 １２： 消火活動 および 事故調査に関する ２０１０年最終報

２０１０年１１月１９日発生の坑内爆発事故、その後の火災・再爆発の現場処理は結局年内には終わらず、また犠牲となられた （正確には状況から死亡とみなされた） ２９名のご遺体の回収も危ぶまれる状況；

　　−−−More than a month after a series of explosions killed the men 2km underground in the Paparoa Range, police are no closer to recovering their bodies. Specialist machinery brought in from Australia in the hope of stabilising the volatile mine and quelling the fires has not worked as hoped.

　　Today, police head of the recovery operation, Superintendent Gary Knowles said the mine would probably have to be sealed if efforts to extinguish remnants of a fire failed.　（以下略）

　　※ 最悪このままで炭鉱封鎖となると、行方不明と同じ結果となりますからご遺族にとっては時間が止まってしまう。ただ二次災害を考えると止むを得ないのでしょうか。
