母の日 （５月１３日） のこと、『五月広場の母親たち』 ３５周年 （４月３０日）、ルス・ミラグロスちゃん： 続報６ （５月１２日）

今日は 母の日 、夜になって慌てて実家へ電話をかけましたが、 日本人「ありがとう」苦手＝母への感謝、うまく届かず―P＆G調査 なんて読むと大きなお世話だ、アホなアメリカ人と一緒にするなって感じがします。
現在の日本の母の日はアメリカのものをそのまま取り込んでいます。それは別に構わないし、 『経済を回す』 ことが必要ならカネを使うのも大いに結構。気恥ずかしくなければハグもいいでしょう。しかし米日ともに、この日の礎となった 「母の日宣言」（Mother's Day Proclamation） に立ち返ってみることは絶対に必要。長くはないので前掲ウィキペディアから全文引用します；
Arise, then, women of this day!
Arise, all women who have hearts, Whether our baptism be of water or of tears!
Say firmly: "We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies, Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caresses and applause. In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask That a general congress of women without limit of nationality May be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient And at the earliest period consistent with its objects, To promote the alliance of the different nationalities, The amicable settlement of international questions,

また、 『母』 と云えばこのブログのメインテーマである山岡朋子さん （横山朋子さん名） 翻訳の 『ルス、闇を照らす者 （絶版）』 にも登場する 訳者あとがきでも紹介されている Madres de Plaza de Mayo 。同サイトに紹介されている様に、 "El comienzo del reclamo nació como una iniciativa de madres de detenidos y desaparecidos el 30 de abril de 1977 en Buenos Aires." ゆえ、２０１２年４月３０日が３５周年記念日でした；

※ ５月１０日病院公式発表 によると、５月９日 肺炎 による 敗血症、英: sepsis （翻訳に自信無し；原文では "En el día de ayer se asume como sepsis con neumonía"） の疑いありと診断され隔離された様ですが、今のところ重大な影響は無いとのこと。
なおルス・ミラグロスちゃんが妊娠２６週目に誕生時の正確な体重はよくわかりませんが、多分７００〜７５０グラム。 未熟児 によると 『無事に成長した未熟児の中でこれまで世界で最も小さかったのは、2004年にイリノイ州で260gで生まれた女の赤ちゃんである。また、世界で2番目、日本で最も小さかったのは、2006年10月に慶應義塾大学病院で、妊娠25週目に265gで生まれた女の赤ちゃんである。』 とのことですから、そんなに小さくは無かったことになります。
