◆La Nina finally losing its strength

−−−National Climate Centre meteorologist Elise Chandler said La Nina indicators showed change. Pacific Ocean temperatures had warmed while atmospheric evidence such as the Southern Oscillation Index, trade winds and cloud patterns had eased from early January peaks.
"All available climate models suggest further weakening of the La Nina is likely through autumn, with most indicating a return to neutral conditions by winter," she said.
