　『アパルトヘイト』 なる アフリカーンス語 のコトバは 『'the state of being apart', literally 'apart-hood'』 〜 『分離、隔離』 を指します；


　人種隔離政策としてのあからさまな南アフリカのアパルトヘイトを廃絶に導いたのがマンデラさんの大きな功績。しかし人種差別は依然として世界中に有形・無形に存在し続けているし、『分離、隔離』 の対象は人種にとどまらない；


　不完全ながら差別から解放されて 『自由』 になった南アフリカの被差別人種は、 『西側の自由世界並み』 の別の差別の世界に放り込まれたのだろう、と思います。上掲記事中 『自由の恩恵』 なるコトバが出て来ますが、それが経済的によりよい生活を意味すると思ったら大間違い。廃絶すべきアパルトヘイトは世界中に存在しますから、マンデラさんの闘いは始まったばかり、いや厳密にはその始まりの終わりかなぁ、と私は感じています。
