ラカイン州はじめミャンマー国内に暮らす約８０万のロヒンギャ人には相変わらず国籍が認められないため、政府や多くのミャンマー人からは隣国バングラデシュからの不法移民とみなされ、一方隣国からは難民扱いされ、宙ぶらりんの状態のまま。下掲記事にある様に "Stateless and unwanted" 。また大規模な衝突が起き、 現時点で既に１００人以上が犠牲になっています 相当数の犠牲者が主にロヒンギャ側に発生している様子；
